Research Identifies 41 Pathways in Chemotherapy-Related Anxiety

In a study, researchers investigated the molecular mechanisms of state anxiety in chemotherapy-treated patients with cancer. Forty-one perturbed signaling pathways were identified, including eight overlapping with those found in anxiolytic compound studies. The findings reveal the biological underpinnings of chemotherapy-induced anxiety, suggesting similarities with anxiety in other conditions and informing future research and treatment strategies.
